The Craft Fair Committee had a meeting last Thursday night. Here's an update.

Letters to more than 150 crafters have been sent out to the previous two years of participants, explaining that the CGFBPC would be administering the Craft Fair.  Applications for this year's show were included.  Postage for this mailing was sponsored by  MAYES RV SALES in New Whiteland, Indiana.  Be sure to thank them for their support of Center Grove Football.

Publicity Posters have been designed and approved and will go out to all football parents in the packets you will receive at the August Hall of Excellence football meeting at CGHS.  We ask that you post these notices at work, at your place of business, at your churches, etc.  Put your thinking caps on for other venues available to increase exposure.  The more attendance we have, the more crafters will want to come and the more money football makes.

We will be initiating a wide-reaching plan of community exposure, targeting our schools, businesses and churches.  Those of us in White River Township understand that our school system is the center of our community.  But we don't want to limit exposure to just this area, as we can draw craft enthusiasts from all over the metropolitan Indianapolis area.  So don't hesitate to take the information posters to all locales around the city.  Explain to employers that this event is non-profit and a worthy cause.

We have already contacted the Daily Journal about including the Craft Fair in their calendar of events section, including the solicitation of crafters who might be interested in participating.  We want to take advantage of all 'free' venues for advertising, eg. The signs at the high school and other CG schools, the cable community calendar of events, etc.  We might also want to contact radio stations.  Anyone who has contacts at any of these media outlets, let me know.  It takes all of us to make this event a success.  We want to double our profits for this event.

For those of our members who are Crafters: Booth rental is $42 for an 8 foot by 10 foot booth (10 foot frontage).  I will be sending out an example of the application. Don't hesitate to contact me via email if you want to participate or know a friend or family member who would be interested.

Anyone interested in working with the committee, respond via email.  Once again, I am sure that your efforts will illustrate just how important the Football Parents Club is to our community, our schools and our sons.  Go Trojans!
